Biomechanical Positioning

The Evo Altus is designed with various biomechanical positioning functions to help the user transition. It includes power tilt, recline, power elevating seat, and power stand-up. Designed to ensure the seat will traverse with the body, reducing the sheer force to a minimum and, most importantly, keeping all supports in proper alignment with the body.

Compact yet Powerful

The EVO Altus has a low seat-to-floor height and a battery capacity of up to 80 AH. This compact standing powerchair, Karma EVO Altus, paired with its powerful battery, allows for unrestricted seat positioning. This ensures easy access to the steering wheel when driving a car or van, expanding the transportation options.

Positioning

• Sit-to-Stand: This function allows the user to transition from a seated to a standing position. This is the most natural way to stand up and does not take much time or space. Users with a standard range of joint motion and healthy blood circulation will find this mode best suits their needs.
• 45° lay-to-Stand: This function allows the user to go from a 45-degree recline to a standing position. This is useful for those with limited joint motion. Instead of sitting up straight to stand, the user can use the recline function to go from a reclined to a standing position.
• Lay-to-Stand: This function allows the user to go from a supine position to a standing position. Standing from the supine position requires the least body and joint movements. This function prevents lateral supports from being mispositioned and allows users with severe postural hypotension to stand like everyone else.

Excellent Outdoor Performance

The chair can reach a top speed of 8 mph. The Karma Altus standing powerchair EVO features a hydraulic independent suspension system, enabling you to maximise ride comfort and quality.

Easy to Configure

Minor adjustments can lead to significant improvements in the user’s well-being. When developing the EVO Altus, the primary focus was on improving the ease of adjustment and maintenance. For example, service technicians can extend the seat depth without adding additional components, such as linkage bars, which is a handy feature for future adjustability.

R-Net Control

The R-Net-control system comes standard with the EVO Altus. You can conveniently operate many functions of the Karma standing electric wheelchair EVO Altus using the joystick. This system also serves as a platform for various specialised steering controls such as chin control, head control, and switch control. It can even control your infrared and Bluetooth devices with R-Net.
