Why choose Carbon Loopwheels?

Loopwheels reduce vibrations by up to 70% compared with metal spoked wheels. Our innovative Loopwheel technology now comes with 12% extra hi-tech carbon.

This extra carbon creates a slightly stiffer spring, a comfortable but more stable ride. Loopwheels Carbon is for manual use at speeds up to 7 kph. For use with a power attachment, choose our Urban or Extreme products instead.

Because of the integral suspension, Loopwheels are more comfortable than standard wheelchair wheels. They absorb tiring vibrations, bumps and shocks.

Loopwheels fit most manual wheelchairs using standard quick-release axles. Choose between 24″ and 25″ diameter wheels, with or without Schwalbe Marathon Plus pneumatic tyres. These wheels have a standard axle bearing diameter of ½” (12.7mm). If you need a 12mm axle bearing instead of ½”, please contact us.

Loopwheels are optimised for adults. If you weigh less than 50kg, you won’t feel as much benefit from the suspension as someone heavier.

Integral Suspension

Shock absorbing suspension wheel that makes going places more comfortable. Loopwheel springs are made from strong, innovative carbon composite material, tested to give outstanding stability and durability.

Why are there three loops in the wheel?

The three-loop design in Loopwheels works together as a self-correcting system. The spring between the hub and wheel rim provides suspension that constantly adjusts to uneven ground, cushioning the rider from bumps and potholes in the road.

Curve & Curve L

A high-quality, ergonomic push rim designed and made in Germany. These are available in two sizes: ‘Curve L’ for a larger hand or ‘Curve’ for smaller hands. Designed for wheelchair users with complete hand function.

Curve Tetra Grip & Curve Tetra Grip L

Pushrims have the same ergonomic shape as the ‘Curve/Curve L’ but are also rubber coated for greater grip. Designed for tetraplegics with triceps function and for wheelchair users with complete hand function but little hand strength.

Gekko

Designed for wheelchair users with complete hand function and complete or limited hand strength. Our best-selling ergonomic push rim.
